OUR STORY

ABOUT FINE & DANDY CO.

Call it serendipity if you must, but the only rational explanation is magic. It happened in a low-rise apartment building in Toronto, Art Deco, naturally.

Three women from three different continents somehow converged in the same place at the same time. Bound by a shared passion for the same variety of strange beauty, a very unusual, alchemical bond occurred.

With careers in advertising & creative direction, consumer goods, and interior styling, their mutual experience, fervour and desire to create products they could not find elsewhere galvanized the creation of Fine & Dandy Co. in 2018.

Paying homage to Victorian, Mid-Century, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Post-Modern, Gothic and Modern Art genres, Fine & Dandy Co. tips its hat to classic, timeless design, and re-imagines it.

A traditional living room? Or a glamorous parlour where smoke, jazz and laughter practically linger in the air… Oh, the possibilities!

Shelley Weinreb

CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

Shelley started her career as a technical illustrator of finds on an archeological dig of a Roman villa in Tuscany. From there, a love of all things antique was born.

Shelley became an Art Director after earning a degree in Fine Art and Art History at The University of Guelph, and a Communication and Design diploma at The Ontario College of Art and Design.

With 20 years’ experience as an Art Director in Advertising, she uses her skills in all media to nurture ideas, shape brands, and forge connections. Shelley’s award-winning work has been recognized on local and global stages, in shows ranging from Cannes and the Clios to London International Awards.

When Shelley is not hard at work, she enjoys learning, creating, and discovering wonderful things with her talented young son, Jonah. Shelley's ardour for antiques often results in the acquisition of large pieces of furniture whose scale precludes them from entering her home, yet she continues to collect.
